Community Art Tree
The Community Art Tree project was created to expand on arts work at Cameron House
Community Centre and in the wider community of Prestonfield.
At the heart of the project were the aims of creating multi-arts opportunities
for local people and creating collaborative work with other agencies in the area.
The project intended to focus on local facilities, highlighting the breadth of
services in the area and making people aware of the educational and social activities
taking place.
The project would offer an opportunity to explore issues of local identity and
ownership as well as involving and portraying a wide range of individuals using
the local facilities.
All ages and community groups would be able to get involved. Applications were
made for funding and an award was made by South Edinburgh Local Development Committee.
